OkieSpice Sloppy Joe Sliders

#1 1/3 Ground Beef
1 15oz can Sloppy Joe Sauce
1 pkg Hawaiian Pretzel Slider Rolls(9 count)
1 Cup Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
1 onion, chopped
5 Tbs Butter, divided
3 Tbsp Spicy Brown Mustard(optional)
Thinly sliced Dill Pickles,(optional)
2 Tsp Garlic Shot
Cook beef, drain & add sauce.
Simmer 10 minutes or so.
Melt 2 Tbsp butter in small skillet & add finely chopped onions. Cook on low heat for about 20 minutes to caramelize onions, stirring occasionally.
Lay the entire bottom part of pretzel rolls in pan (still all touching) and spread mustard over bottom rolls. (If using mustard)
Next spread meat mixture over bottom rolls & then top with cooked onions. (Sometimes I set aside 1/2 cup of meat mixture if it seems too “meaty” & use later)
Lay pickles in a single layer over meat and onions.
Sprinkle with shredded cheese  and cover with top portion of rolls.
Melt last 3Tbsp butter and add Garlic Shot.
Brush melted butter over all rolls and cover with foil.
Bake for 25 minutes at 350.
Remove foil and bake 10 minutes more.
Let cool slightly.
(I highly recommend using mustard & pickles - however I usually customize our sliders & only cover  1/2 with these optional items. Easy to leave out or add & still very tasty!)
